Got Your Back? from From the Strawberry Patch...

Pineapple Fabric had a warehouse sale complete with long tables as far as the eye could see, loaded high with fabric cuts being sold by the pound! This is always a great deal, but when it comes to looking for backs for existing quilt tops it's just the ticket. This was my shopping list: color photos and sizes of

Closing In... from From the Strawberry Patch...

Even with a slower, more intentional, approach to Christmas (without the hosting and toasting) this year, the days still rush by at the same pace and all of a sudden it's "go" time. There are cookies to be baked and traditions to be upheld. The sugar cookies and almond cookies are on our  Mr. G's "must have" list, as they have been every year. The sewing room has temporarily been converted into

I went by myself, but encountered many, many people already there when I arrived. The sheer number of other shoppers who beat me to the sale did get in my way. I had some items snatched right out of my shopping cart! Did I practice social distancing? You betcha-- my

I've been busy sewing this past week, working on the first of 2 Hallowe'en quilts for my grandchildren.  I don't count fabric used until it is donated, or I have a completed project !

The center of the quilt came from a panel for a Hallowe'en tote bag, so I used one side for this quilt, and I'm saving the other for ...

Hello, Pouch! from From the Strawberry Patch...

I bought the pattern for the "Hello Pouches" (knot and thread design) and was eager to make some up, I thought that they were cute, functional and a nice alternative to the paper gift bag for small Christmas gifts. I made one up yesterday as a trial. I'm happy to report that it's a well-written pattern with easy to follow instructions and access to online video tutorials. I made the "large"
